If you sign an Area Development Agreement, you must sign individual Franchise Agreements and find a site that meets our approval under our then-current site approval criteria under each individual Franchise Agreement you sign.
Under a Franchise Agreement
The Franchise Agreement grants to you the right to own and operate a Facial Bar at a specific location approved by us. You may not conduct the business of your Facial Bar at any site other than the approved premises or relocate your Facial Bar without our prior written consent. If the site for your Facial Bar has been identified before you sign the Franchise Agreement, then you must operate the Facial Bar at that site. If the site becomes unavailable to you for any reason, it is your obligation to select a new location, and to obtain our approval of that location before you acquire the site, and before you obtain any rights in the location. If a site has not been identified, we will designate an area, and you may locate your Facial Bar at any place within that area, so long as the site you select is not also within a territory of another Facial Bar. Until a site has been identified, you will not have any rights to operate your Facial Bar at any specific location.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Face Foundrie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee signs an Area Development Agreement, they must also sign individual Franchise Agreements. Following this, the franchisee is responsible for finding a site for each franchise that meets Face Foundrie's approval based on their current site approval criteria. This approval process is conducted under each individual Franchise Agreement the franchisee signs.
Under the Franchise Agreement, Face Foundrie grants the franchisee the right to operate a Facial Bar at a specific location that Face Foundrie has approved. The franchisee cannot operate the Facial Bar at any location other than the approved premises or relocate without Face Foundrie's prior written consent. If the site is identified before signing the Franchise Agreement, the franchisee must operate at that site. If the site becomes unavailable, the franchisee is obligated to select a new location and obtain Face Foundrie's approval before acquiring the site or any rights to it.
If a site has not been identified, Face Foundrie will designate an area where the franchisee can locate their Facial Bar, provided the site is not within another Facial Bar's territory. Until a site is identified, the franchisee does not have the right to operate at any specific location. This process ensures that each Face Foundrie location meets the brand's standards and that territories are appropriately managed to avoid conflicts between franchisees.
