Face_Foundrie Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
If you sign an Area Development Agreement, we will describe the development territory in the Rider to that agreement ("Development Territory"). The territory will typically be described as a geographic area in which each of your Facial Bars must be developed. The factors that we consider in determining these territories include density of population, growth trends of population, apparent degree of affluence of population, the density of residential and business entities, traffic generators, driving time, natural boundaries, location of other Facial Bars, the number of Facial Bars you wish to develop, and our development plans. As long as you are in compliance with your obligations under the Area Development Agreement and all of the Franchise Agreements between you (and your affiliates) and us, we will not establish or operate, or license anyone other than you to establish or operate, a Facial Bar in these development territories, subject to our reserved rights below. Your rights in these territories will end at the earlier of: (i) the date your Area Development Agreement expires; and

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Face Foundrie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company considers several factors when determining the Development Territory for an Area Development Agreement. These factors include the density of population, growth trends of population, apparent degree of affluence of population, the density of residential and business entities, traffic generators, driving time, natural boundaries, location of other Facial Bars, the number of Facial Bars the developer wishes to develop, and Face Foundrie's development plans. This suggests Face Foundrie aims to establish territories that are viable and sustainable for franchisees.
For a prospective franchisee, this means the Development Territory is not arbitrarily assigned but is based on a comprehensive evaluation of demographic and market conditions. Face Foundrie assesses factors like population density and affluence to ensure there is sufficient demand for its services. They also consider the presence of other businesses and traffic patterns to determine the accessibility and visibility of the Facial Bars. The location of existing Face Foundrie locations is also a factor, which suggests Face Foundrie aims to avoid over-saturation and cannibalization of existing markets.
It's important to note that the franchisee's desired number of Facial Bars and Face Foundrie's overall development plans also play a role. This indicates that the Development Territory is tailored to the franchisee's growth ambitions and aligned with Face Foundrie's strategic objectives. However, the FDD also states that Face Foundrie and its affiliates retain the right to establish and operate franchises and/or company-owned outlets selling similar products and providing similar services under names and symbols other than the Marks, even within the franchisee's Territory. This means that even with a Development Territory, franchisees may face competition from Face Foundrie itself or its affiliates.
Prospective franchisees should carefully evaluate the Development Territory offered by Face Foundrie and conduct their own due diligence to assess its suitability for their business goals. Understanding the factors that Face Foundrie considers in determining the Development Territory can help franchisees make informed decisions and negotiate favorable terms. Additionally, franchisees should be aware of Face Foundrie's reserved rights to operate similar businesses within the Territory, as this could impact their potential market share and profitability.
