Can Face Foundrie change the computer hardware specifications in the future?

According to Face Foundrie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Face Foundrie reserves the right to change the computer hardware specifications in the future. This is to take advantage of technological advances or to adapt the system to meet operational needs and changes. Face Foundrie may require franchisees to update their computer hardware and software, related peripheral equipment, and communications systems to meet the then-current standards for new Facial Bars.

Prior to opening a Facial Bar, franchisees must install Face Foundrie's approved computer systems at their own expense. Currently, the system requirements mandate an iMac computer for the reception system and a computer for management use, as well as at least nine iPads. Franchisees must also purchase other hardware, including a printer, phone system, and a security and sound system. While Face Foundrie may provide detailed specifications and policies for these components, they do not currently specify the types of hardware franchisees purchase, as long as the minimum requirements are met to ensure integration with the designated software. The estimated cost for the required computer hardware ranges from $9,000 to $11,500, which is subject to change depending on the brands and models chosen.

Face Foundrie is not obligated to provide ongoing maintenance, repairs, upgrades, or updates to the computer system. Franchisees should anticipate the need to upgrade or update the computer system during the franchise term, and there are no contractual limitations on the frequency and cost of this obligation. The estimated cost of optional or required maintenance, and software and hardware upgrades, ranges from $500 to $1,000 annually. This means that franchisees need to be prepared for potential future investments in their computer systems to keep up with Face Foundrie's evolving requirements.
