What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Face Foundrie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor approves the standard sign to be installed on any pylon, monument, or directory sign for the development in which the premises is located. The franchisee is permitted to install a standard sign on the pylon/monument/directory sign, including the Face Foundrie logo, but only with the franchisor's approval.
This means that while the franchisee may have the right to a panel on a pylon or directory sign, they cannot simply install any sign they choose. The Face Foundrie franchisor retains control over the branding and appearance of the signage to ensure consistency across all franchise locations. This is a common practice in franchising, as it helps to maintain brand uniformity and protect the brand's image.
For a prospective Face Foundrie franchisee, this implies that they must submit their proposed sign design to the franchisor for approval before installation. This process ensures that the sign meets the franchisor's standards and aligns with the overall brand aesthetic. While this may add an extra step to the sign installation process, it ultimately benefits the franchisee by reinforcing the brand's recognition and appeal.
