The provisions of this Addendum form an integral part of, are incorporated into, and modify the Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement, and all related agreements regardless of anything to the contrary contained therein. This Addendum applies if: (a) the offer to sell a franchise is accepted in Washington; (b) the purchaser of the franchise is a resident of Washington; and/or (c) the franchised business that is the subject of the sale is to be located or operated, wholly or partly, in Washington.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Face Foundrie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Washington law addendum to the franchise agreement applies under more than one condition. It is not exclusively applicable only if the franchisee is a resident of Washington.

The addendum is incorporated into the Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement, and all related agreements. The terms of the addendum apply if any of the following conditions are met: (a) the offer to sell a franchise is accepted in Washington; (b) the purchaser of the franchise is a resident of Washington; and/or (c) the franchised business that is the subject of the sale is to be located or operated, wholly or partly, in Washington.

This means that even if a Face Foundrie franchisee is not a resident of Washington, the addendum will still apply if the offer to sell the franchise was accepted in Washington or if the Face Foundrie location is in Washington. Prospective franchisees should understand that the Washington Franchise Investment Protection Act may supersede the franchise agreement in certain areas, such as termination and renewal rights.
