Does the Expense Reduction Analysts franchisor have the right to change the 'System' at its sole discretion?

According to the 2025 Expense Reduction Analysts Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor has broad authority to modify the Expense Reduction Analysts system. Expense Reduction Analysts reserves the right to change, modify, add to, or remove any aspect of the ERA System as the Franchisor deems appropriate from time to time. This includes adopting new or modified technology, products, services, and equipment, as well as new techniques and methodologies related to sales, promotion, and marketing.

As an Expense Reduction Analysts franchisee, you are obligated to adopt these changes upon receiving written notice from the franchisor. The FDD also states that you must make such reasonable expenditures as may be necessary to comply with any change that the Franchisor makes to the ERA System. Expense Reduction Analysts will provide a reasonable amount of time to comply with any change or modification to the ERA System once You have been notified of such change/modification in writing via the ERA Manuals or otherwise.

This level of control is typical in franchising, where uniformity and brand consistency are considered important. However, it also means that as a franchisee, you must be prepared to adapt your business practices and potentially invest in new resources as directed by Expense Reduction Analysts. While Expense Reduction Analysts is expected to provide reasonable notice and time for compliance, the ultimate decision on changes to the system rests with them.
