- (E) EXIT Associate: "EXIT Associate" means all subfranchisors, franchisees, sales representatives or nonlicensed persons under written contract with a Franchise, Subfranchise or EXIT.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Exit's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, an 'EXIT Associate' encompasses a range of individuals affiliated with the Exit system. Specifically, it includes subfranchisors, franchisees, and sales representatives. It also extends to non-licensed individuals who have a written contract with an Exit franchise, subfranchise, or the main Exit organization.
It's important for anyone holding multiple roles within the Exit system to clearly identify their primary role on all relevant Exit documentation. This likely helps with defining responsibilities, compensation, and potential conflicts of interest within the organization.
The effective date for an Exit Associate varies. For sales representatives, it's the date their license is transferred, a sales representative agreement is executed and approved by Exit, and the Exit Associate Profile is completed. For all other Exit Associates, the effective date is when a written contract is executed and the online Exit Associate Profile is completed. Until these prerequisites are met, Exit Associates cannot use Exit's trade name or proprietary marks on business cards, signage, or in any published media.
