What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Exit's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there are financial implications related to training attendance. Specifically, if a franchisee signs up for the training offered by Exit but fails to attend, or if they cancel with less than thirty days' notice, they agree to pay Exit $500. If the franchisee cancels within 10 days or less, the cancellation fee increases to $1,000.
This policy ensures that franchisees are committed to attending the training program once they register. The fees are in place to cover potential losses incurred by Exit due to late cancellations or no-shows, such as wasted training materials and lost opportunities for other franchisees to attend. The training program is a crucial part of the Exit franchise system, providing franchisees with the knowledge and skills necessary to operate their business effectively.
For a prospective Exit franchisee, this means carefully planning and committing to the training schedule. Franchisees should be aware of the cancellation policy and the associated fees to avoid unexpected costs. Ensuring attendance or providing sufficient notice of cancellation can help franchisees avoid these charges and maintain a positive relationship with the franchisor.
