What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Exit's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay a monthly license fee of $250.00 for the MEMO system. This fee is payable to Exit and is collected through automatic monthly withdrawal. The MEMO system is Exit's proprietary software used for franchise reporting, tracking transactions, and managing sales representative information.
If a franchisee owns more than one Exit franchise operated by the same legal entity and using the same trade name, the monthly license fee for the second and subsequent franchise agreements is reduced to 25% of the standard monthly fee at the time the subsequent agreements are signed. This discount can significantly lower the costs for franchisees looking to expand their operations within the Exit system.
The FDD also indicates that in 2024, Exit received $1,370,925.52 from its MEMO software license and access fees. This revenue stream represents a notable portion of Exit's overall income, highlighting the importance of the MEMO system to the franchisor's business model. Franchisees should recognize that the MEMO system is integral to their operations and budget accordingly for the associated monthly fees.
