What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Exit's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Exit does not impose restrictions in the Franchise Agreement or otherwise, as to the customers to whom a franchisee may offer or sell. Exit franchisees have complete discretion regarding the prices charged to customers for goods and services.
However, Exit franchisees must operate as licensed real estate brokers under the laws of the state within which their office is located, and they must use their office solely for the operation of an Exit franchise. The franchisee cannot use the premises for any other purpose or activities without first obtaining written consent from Exit.
Although Exit does not restrict who franchisees can sell to, franchisees are not prohibited from listing and selling property or representing clients outside their Protected Territory. Subject to any restrictions or limitations placed upon it by State licensing authorities, franchisees are free to deal with property and/or representation of clients at any location within the state. Likewise, other Exit franchisees may list and sell property or represent clients domiciled in the Protected Territory.
