What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Even Hotels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, IHG is not obligated to install hardware if the site preparation has not been completed to their reasonable satisfaction in a timely manner. The franchisee is responsible for preparing the site for hardware installation and operation, including providing electrical connections, power outlets, air conditioning, a patch panel, and local area network cable installation, according to the manufacturer's specifications.
If the site is not adequately prepared, IHG may invoice the franchisee $2,600, which amount IHG may modify from time to time. Proper site preparation is crucial for the hardware's performance, and installation will not proceed until IHG is satisfied with the site's readiness.
Furthermore, any delays in software or hardware installation caused by the franchisee will not affect the franchisee's obligation to pay fees or amounts due under the agreement. The franchisee is also responsible for the expenses of their employees assisting with the installation and any additional costs incurred by IHG or its service providers due to installation delays caused by the franchisee or its agents. The franchisee must also cover the travel, lodging, and meals for IHG's or the service provider's personnel involved in the installation.
