What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Even Hotels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee, referred to as the Licensee, is responsible for the costs of installing any hardware or software that is not part of the Minimum Configuration. IHG will provide a list of approved hardware, software, and network configurations required for the use of their Curated Solutions, which is referred to as the Minimum Configuration. The brand may update this Minimum Configuration periodically via their online portal, IHG Marketplace.
The Licensee is responsible for ensuring that their hardware, software, and network environment meet the Minimum Configuration requirements at their own cost. If the Licensee installs hardware or software that is not listed as approved in the Minimum Configuration, they are solely responsible for the installation and support of that hardware or software. This non-approved hardware or software cannot be installed on IHG's network and must be installed only on the Hotel's operations network.
If IHG determines that the non-approved hardware or software is negatively affecting the performance of IHG's infrastructure, IHG has the discretion to require that the hardware or software be removed or disconnected. IHG will not be liable for any lost or damaged data resulting from the Licensee's installation and use of non-approved hardware or software, or from any removal or disconnection required by IHG.
This means that as an Even Hotels franchisee, you have the flexibility to use hardware and software beyond what IHG requires, but you will bear all costs and risks associated with it. You must also ensure that any non-approved systems do not interfere with IHG's infrastructure, or you may be required to remove them.
