What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Even Hotels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Participation Agreement for the IHG Secure Payment Solution is made between Six Continents Hotels, Inc. ("IHG") and the hotel, identified by its Inncode and location ("Hotel"). This agreement allows the Even Hotels franchisee to utilize the Secure Payment Solution services that IHG has arranged with FreedomPay.
This agreement outlines the relationship between the hotel, IHG, and FreedomPay. While IHG handles the onboarding, payment administration, and support facilitation, FreedomPay is the actual service provider. The Even Hotels franchisee accesses a hosted environment configured specifically for IHG and cannot customize it. All payment of fees, service requests, and interactions with FreedomPay are managed through IHG as a facilitator.
The Even Hotels franchisee is responsible for paying IHG $0.06 per transaction, covering online authorization requests, captured requests without online authorization, return requests, and void requests. This fee is typically collected by the merchant service provider during settlement reconciliation. Additionally, the franchisee pays IHG a monthly support fee of $140. IHG retains the right to lower the transaction fee but cannot increase it without notifying the hotel. The hotel also agrees to FreedomPay's pass-through terms, acknowledging FreedomPay as the payment gateway service provider.
