What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Even Hotels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay a Global Distribution System (GDS) fee for each reservation made through the GDS system that is not canceled. The GDS fee is currently $6.40 per reservation.
The GDS provides reservation linkage with three major systems: Travelport, Sabre, and Amadeus. As a participant in the IHG Commission Services (ICS) program, enrollment in the GDS is automatic. The ICS program facilitates commission payments to travel agencies, with approximately 165,000 participating agencies across 52 countries.
In addition to the GDS fee, Even Hotels franchisees may incur other third-party distribution connection fees. These include fees for alternative connections between SCH and vendors, such as the Direct Connect fee, currently set at $1.75 per reservation, and the Travel Management Company (TMC) Direct Connect fee, which is $5.00 per reservation. The GDS fee and TMC Direct Connect fee are mutually exclusive, meaning a hotel will only be charged one or the other.
