If an Even Hotels franchisee elects to use HP financing, what agreement must they enter into?

According to Even Hotels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee chooses to finance their purchase through HP, they must enter into a "Product financing agreement" with Hewlett-Packard Financial Services Company (HPFS). This agreement will be substantially similar to the standard HPFS form used in the United States or the corresponding form used outside of the United States, referred to as the "Financing Agreement."

The Financing Agreement dictates the payment schedule, and HPFS will invoice the Even Hotels franchisee directly according to this schedule. The agreement becomes effective only after the installation and acceptance of the products and services ordered. If the Joinder Agreement is terminated before the Financing Agreement takes effect, the Financing Agreement is rendered null and void.

Once the products and services are accepted and the Financing Agreement is in effect, it becomes an independent agreement solely between the Even Hotels franchisee and HPFS. This means that any termination of the overarching Joinder Agreement or the initial agreement will not affect the Financing Agreement. This arrangement provides clarity and security for both the franchisee and HPFS regarding the financing terms, independent of the franchise relationship's status.
