What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Even Hotels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally not required to impose restrictions on their employees. The FDD states that Holiday, the parent company, does not impose restrictions, nor does it require franchisees to impose restrictions, on any of their employees. However, both Holiday and the franchisee must comply with each other's reasonable requirements concerning the confidentiality of information, particularly regarding Holiday's marketing and reservation programs that have not yet been disclosed to the public.
Even Hotels franchisees have the autonomy to hire a General Manager and all staff members and/or employees of their own choice without Holiday's advance approval. However, the license agreement may specify a required level of experience for these individuals. The General Manager, department heads, and staff, including Directors of Sales, are required to attend Holiday's training programs.
The franchisee or their management company, whichever is applicable, will be the sole employer of the employees working at the Even Hotels location. Holiday does not direct or control employment policies, discipline, recruitment, or termination. The franchisee or their management company is solely responsible for all employment decisions, regardless of whether they have received guidance from Holiday on such matters.
