You must participate in quality and guest satisfaction programs that Holiday periodically develops and modifies. Holiday representatives may inspect the Hotel at any time with or without notice to you, to determine whether your Hotel is compliant with the Standards. If Holiday determines that your Hotel is not compliant with the Standards, Holiday may charge you for all quality defaults, visits, re-evaluations, and re-inspections at your Hotel that occur as a result of your Hotel's failure of any quality evaluation, your Hotel's failure under the guest satisfaction measurement system, your failure to complete "The Operator's View" ("TOV") as mandated, your failure to cure non-compliance with Incident Reports, your failure cure non-compliance with submission of Certificates of Compliance ("COC"), or your failure to complete the Corrective Action Plan ("CAP") as may be required following any quality evaluation. You must pay for the room and board of the Quality Department Representative for any quality inspections.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Even Hotels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Holiday determines that an Even Hotels location is not compliant with brand standards, the franchisee may be charged for quality defaults, visits, re-evaluations, and re-inspections. These charges stem from failures in quality evaluations, guest satisfaction measurements, incomplete Operator's Views (TOV), unresolved Incident Reports, missing Certificates of Compliance (COC), or unfulfilled Corrective Action Plans (CAP). Franchisees are also responsible for covering the room and board expenses of the Quality Department Representative during these inspections.

Additionally, the FDD outlines specific fees related to Food and Beverage POS (Point of Sale) support, which are $45.00 per workstation per month. These fees are payable to an approved supplier.

Furthermore, the document details various fees payable to Holiday, SCH, third parties, or approved suppliers for items such as royalty payments, marketing contributions, technology services, training, and other operational costs. The specific recipient depends on the nature of the fee, as outlined in the provided tables. However, the FDD does not explicitly mention a general "Food and Beverage program compliance fee."

Therefore, a prospective Even Hotels franchisee should confirm with the franchisor whether a specific "Food and Beverage program compliance fee" exists, and if so, to whom it is payable and under what conditions it is assessed.
