What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Even Hotels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the brand charges fees for both authorization and capture of transactions. An authorization fee is charged for each transaction submitted for authorization, regardless of whether it is approved. All capture fees are charged for each transaction transmitted for settlement. If a combined fee is available for both authorization and capture, the transactions must be submitted as a single transaction to receive the combined billing; otherwise, they will be charged separately.

The hotel is responsible for using software or services that correctly submit these transactions to achieve the combined billing. Additionally, Even Hotels hotels will pay all fees, fines, assessments, penalties, obligations, liabilities, adjustments, and other charges imposed by Card Organizations, Issuers, or other Third Parties related to the hotel's transactions, including interchange, chargebacks, and access fees.

IHG, the parent company of Even Hotels, has an agreement with FreedomPay for secure payment solutions. The hotel will pay IHG a fee of $0.06 per transaction, which includes online authorization requests, captured requests without corresponding online authorization, return requests, and void requests. This fee is typically collected by the merchant service provider as part of the settlement reconciliation. IHG also charges a support fee of $140 per month, which may be modified by no more than 10% annually upon notice to the hotel. These fees are in addition to any monthly service fees charged by local phone vendors or long-distance carriers.
