What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Even Hotels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Holiday must approve all architects and interior designers before a project commences. Even Hotels requires franchisees to hire qualified, licensed, professional advisors with hotel experience, forming a project team that includes an interior designer with upscale or boutique hotel brand experience. Depending on the project's complexity, the team may also need an architect, engineer, art consultant, lighting consultant, or other specialist. If a franchisee struggles to find suitable professionals, they should contact their Openings Regional Director for assistance.

If a franchisee hires unqualified individuals, any submitted design work will be rejected, and the Even Hotels location may face a Plan default, potentially incurring fees up to $5,000. Even Hotels, at its discretion, may also require the franchisee to remove any non-approved product installed in the hotel that has not received explicit written approval from IHG Plan Review before installation.

This requirement ensures that the design and construction align with Even Hotels' brand standards and specifications, maintaining consistency across all franchise locations. Franchisees must ensure their chosen professionals meet Holiday's criteria and receive the necessary approvals to avoid costly penalties and delays.
