What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Epcon Communities' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company may offer additional training programs to address system-wide development needs. Epcon Communities may apply a fee to these additional training programs to cover expenses associated with materials and outside instructor costs. However, attendance at these additional training programs and refresher courses is not required for franchisees.
This policy means that while Epcon Communities provides initial training, they may also offer further training on a voluntary basis. If a franchisee chooses to participate in these optional programs, they may incur a fee to cover the costs of materials and instructors. This allows Epcon Communities to provide specialized or advanced training without mandating it for all franchisees, giving franchisees the flexibility to invest in additional training as they see fit.
It is important for prospective franchisees to note that while these additional training programs are not mandatory, they could represent an additional cost if the franchisee chooses to participate. Franchisees should evaluate the potential benefits of such training against the associated costs to determine if it is a worthwhile investment for their business. This approach to training allows Epcon Communities to adapt to changing industry trends and provide franchisees with relevant, up-to-date information and skills, while also giving franchisees control over their training expenses.
