What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 FDD, Epcon Communities retains the right to modify authorized goods and services. Specifically, Epcon Communities has the authority to add to, discontinue, or modify authorized goods, services, specifications, and procedures at their discretion. The FDD states that there are no limits on this right to make changes to the Development System.
This means that as an Epcon Communities franchisee, you must be prepared for potential changes to the goods, services, and specifications you are authorized to offer. These changes could impact your business operations, marketing strategies, and overall profitability. It is important to stay informed of any modifications made by Epcon Communities and adapt your business accordingly.
While Epcon Communities has the right to make these changes, franchisees are prohibited from modifying the Development System themselves, except as necessary to comply with building codes and permits, and local, state and federal laws. This restriction ensures consistency across the franchise system and protects the integrity of the Epcon Communities brand. Franchisees are not required to sell all goods or services authorized by Epcon Communities, providing some flexibility in their offerings.
