What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Epcon Communities' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, before starting the initial Epcon Communities project, franchisees receive certain assistance from the franchisor. This includes architectural plans and specifications for buildings, clubhouses, and pavilions, along with sample site and landscape plans. Franchisees also receive an Operations Manual, sample Construction Scopes of Work documents, and up to 50 hours of consulting services, which may cover planning, financing, construction, and marketing. Initial training sessions are included within these consulting hours.
While the FDD outlines several forms of assistance Epcon Communities provides before a franchisee begins their initial project, it does not explicitly state that attending and completing an initial training program is mandatory before starting construction. However, the 50 hours of consulting services include initial training sessions, suggesting that some form of training is expected or highly recommended.
Prospective franchisees should clarify with Epcon Communities the specific requirements for initial training, including whether attendance is mandatory, the content and duration of the training, and how it fits within the 50 hours of consulting services. Understanding the scope and requirements of the initial training is crucial for franchisees to effectively plan and execute their first Epcon Communities project.
