What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Epcon Communities' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the estimated cost for the Initial Training Program ranges from $2,000 to $3,000. This fee covers programs and sessions designed to familiarize new franchisees, their sales associates, and construction personnel with Epcon Communities' Development System, typical services, and franchisee responsibilities.
At least one owner of the franchise must attend the initial training program. Epcon Communities provides initial training in two installments, each lasting one day, and works with the franchisee to schedule these based on their experience and project status. The construction supervisor may also be required to attend a one-day construction training session. While there is currently no fee for the training programs themselves, franchisees are responsible for covering the transportation, lodging, and some meals for all attendees.
The estimated costs provided include transportation, lodging, and food for two owners attending the initial training program, one construction person attending construction training, and one salesperson attending sales training sessions. Training is currently held in Central Ohio, but Epcon Communities reserves the right to require virtual attendance. These costs should be factored into the franchisee's initial investment and ongoing operational budget.
