What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Epcon Communities' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, upon termination of the Franchise Agreement or the franchisee's right of access, the franchisee must immediately stop accessing the Epcon Communities Intranet, including the website and databases. This requirement is clearly stated in the Non-Disclosure and On-Line Information Access Agreement that franchisees must adhere to.

Epcon Communities emphasizes that access to the Intranet is a privilege that begins with the issuance of an access code after the Franchise Agreement is executed and accepted. This access ends upon termination by either the franchisee or Epcon Communities. The FDD also states that failure to maintain authorized franchisee status results in immediate termination of Intranet access rights without notice.

This provision ensures that upon termination, former franchisees no longer have access to proprietary information, communication channels, and resources provided through the Epcon Communities Intranet. This is a standard practice in franchising to protect the brand's confidential information and maintain the integrity of the franchise system. Prospective franchisees should understand that this immediate cessation of access is a condition of the franchise agreement and is strictly enforced by Epcon Communities.
