What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Epcon Communities' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, before a franchisee can begin marketing or selling activities for any of their projects, they must provide Epcon Communities with specific information that Epcon requires to create web pages for the franchisee's project. This information is essential for Epcon to promote the franchisee's projects on the company website.
Epcon Communities or a business entity selected by them maintains a website to promote the franchisee's projects. The franchisee will be provided web pages on this website for each of their projects. The franchisee will also be granted access to the administrative portion of www.epconcommunities.com, so that they may make periodic updates to their web content on that web site. The franchisee must designate a person in their company with the role of web site administrator for providing content updates to their web pages.
In addition to providing the required information, franchisees should also be aware that Epcon Communities retains the right to terminate the website and related web pages at any time. Franchisees may also prepare their own advertising plans and materials, which they must submit to Epcon Communities for written approval at least 30 days before they intend to use them. Epcon Communities will base its approval upon the franchisee's compliance with the provisions of the Franchise Agreement and the Manual regarding the use of service marks and copyrighted and patented materials relating to or identified with Epcon Communities. If written disapproval is not received by the franchisee from Epcon Communities within 30 days of the date that Epcon Communities receives the advertising plan and/or materials, Epcon Communities will be deemed to have given the required approval. Epcon Communities can revoke its approval of any advertising previously approved upon 30 days prior written notice.
