What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Epcon Communities' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a "Multi Unit" is defined as a residential dwelling located within a building containing two or more dwellings sharing one or more common walls. This definition is important for franchisees as it distinguishes between different types of residential dwellings within the Epcon Communities system. The FDD also defines an "SFD Unit" as a residential dwelling that constitutes the sole dwelling located within a single dwelling building.

The distinction between a Multi Unit and an SFD Unit is relevant because Epcon Communities uses these classifications to define "Units", which refers to a group of two or more Units that may include only Multi Units, only SFD Units, or a combination of both. Understanding these definitions is crucial for franchisees when planning and developing their Epcon Communities projects, as it impacts the types of homes they will build and market.

For a prospective franchisee, this definition clarifies the scope of residential options within the Epcon Communities franchise model. It is important to understand the differences between Multi Units and SFD Units, as this will influence the planning and development of projects. Franchisees should consider the market demand for each type of unit in their designated area to optimize their project's success.
