What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Engineering For Kids FDD, the standard initial franchise fee is $30,000. This fee grants the franchisee a territory of approximately 100 schools, including some or all grades from kindergarten through eighth grade. If a franchisee wants to include additional schools in their territory, they must pay Engineering For Kids $225 for each additional school.

The initial franchise fee is payable in a single lump sum when the Franchise Agreement is signed. Once paid, the fee is considered fully earned by Engineering For Kids and is non-refundable. This means that regardless of whether the franchisee successfully launches their Engineering For Kids business, the initial fee will not be returned.

Engineering For Kids offers a 10% discount on the initial franchise fee to honorably discharged veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces and existing franchisees in good standing who want to develop additional franchised businesses. To qualify for the existing franchisee discount, the franchisee must have been in operation for at least one year. Engineering For Kids may discontinue or alter this discount policy in the future.
