What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Engineering For Kids's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Special Event Services consist of approved programs and authorized products for sale and use at children's parties, holiday celebrations, and other celebratory events that occur outside of the franchisee's authorized locations.

Engineering For Kids franchisees can offer Special Event Services programs at the homes or other facilities of customers who attend programs at their authorized locations or who are referred by existing customers. However, franchisees must get prior written approval from Engineering For Kids to engage in other types of sales, such as wholesale distribution or using alternative channels like the Internet or telemarketing.

This definition clarifies the scope of services a franchisee can offer outside their usual territory, focusing on events rather than ongoing programs. It also highlights the importance of adhering to the franchisor's guidelines regarding sales methods and obtaining necessary approvals to avoid violating the franchise agreement.
