What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Engineering For Kids's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor will furnish franchisees with standard site selection guidelines, including minimum standards for an EFK Center Location. The level of site selection counseling and assistance provided is determined by Engineering For Kids based on what they deem necessary.

As part of the site selection process, franchisees must notify Engineering For Kids of the proposed site and submit a site review report. This report should include photographs, demographic information, and any other information that Engineering For Kids may require. Engineering For Kids then has 30 days to approve or disapprove the proposed site after receiving all necessary information.

Engineering For Kids has the option, but not the obligation, to conduct an on-site evaluation of the proposed site. If they do conduct an on-site evaluation, the franchisee must reimburse Engineering For Kids for reasonable costs, including travel, lodging, wages, and meals, with a minimum charge of $500. Final site approval is only granted in writing by Engineering For Kids.
