What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Engineering For Kids' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, LaunchLife International Inc. ("LLI") and LaunchLife Holdings Inc. ("LHI") were the indirect parents of Engineering For Kids before December 19, 2024. On December 19, 2024, LLI and LHI were amalgamated to form Launchlife International Inc.
This means that prior to December 19, 2024, Engineering For Kids had a corporate structure where LaunchLife USA, Inc. was the direct parent, and LLI and LHI were further up the chain of ownership. This is a fairly common structure in franchising, where a brand may be owned by a larger holding company that also owns other franchise brands.
After December 19, 2024, Launchlife International Inc. became the sole indirect parent of Engineering For Kids, simplifying the ownership structure. This type of reorganization can be done for various reasons, such as streamlining operations or for tax purposes. Prospective franchisees should be aware of these ownership changes as they can impact the long-term strategy and stability of the franchise system.
