What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Engineering For Kids Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not required to be a member of more than one Regional Fund. Engineering For Kids has the right to designate geographical areas for establishing a regional marketing fund. If a Regional Fund exists in the area where the franchisee's business is located when they commence operations, they must immediately become a member. If a Regional Fund is established during the term of the Franchise Agreement, the franchisee must join within 30 days of its commencement.

This policy ensures that franchisees contribute to regional marketing efforts relevant to their location. However, it also limits the financial burden and administrative complexity for franchisees by preventing them from being obligated to multiple regional funds simultaneously. This approach allows Engineering For Kids to tailor marketing strategies to specific regions while maintaining a manageable structure for its franchisees.

This condition protects franchisees from potentially excessive costs associated with multiple regional fund memberships. It also provides clarity and predictability regarding marketing fund obligations, which can aid in financial planning and business strategy. Prospective franchisees should confirm whether a Regional Fund already exists or is planned for their territory to fully understand their obligations.
