What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Engineering For Kids FDD, Engineering For Kids has the option to either engage third-party agencies for advertising, marketing, and promotional services or provide these services themselves. Engineering For Kids may charge the Brand Fund fees at reasonable market rates for advertising, marketing, and promotional services that they provide in lieu of hiring a third-party agency.

Engineering For Kids has the right to direct all marketing programs, including the final decision over creative concepts, materials, and media used in the programs and their placement. The Brand Fund contributions may be used for national, regional, and/or local advertising activities and may take place in a variety of media, including television, radio, and print.

This means that as a franchisee, you may not have control over the specific advertising strategies used, as Engineering For Kids retains the right to make those decisions. However, the Brand Fund, which is funded by franchisee contributions, will be used for advertising and promotional activities to benefit the Engineering For Kids brand and the System generally.
