What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Engineering For Kids FDD, a franchisee must meet certain conditions to operate an EFK Center Location. The franchisee must identify a physical site according to Section 4.2 and Appendix E of the Franchise Agreement, with the site designated in Appendix A once identified.
Specifically, the franchisee must obtain prior written approval from Engineering For Kids to operate an EFK Center Location. This approval will not be unreasonably withheld if the franchisee satisfies the franchisor's current criteria for operators of Learning Center Based Businesses and meets the conditions outlined in Section 1.1.2 of the agreement.
Furthermore, at the time of signing the Franchise Agreement, the franchisee must also sign an EFK Learning Center Location Addendum, which is included as Appendix E of the agreement. The exception to this requirement is if the franchisee already possesses a location that Engineering For Kids has approved to serve as their EFK Center Location.
In summary, operating an EFK Center Location requires site approval, adherence to Learning Center Based Business criteria, and the signing of the EFK Learning Center Location Addendum, unless an already-approved location is in place.
