What This Means (2025 FDD)
Yes, according to Engineering For Kids' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees can offer programs at customers' homes under certain conditions. Engineering For Kids businesses may provide programs and sell authorized products at customers' homes or other facilities, including events like children's parties and holiday celebrations, provided that the franchisor has approved these programs and products for such use. These events are referred to as "Special Events Services."
This offers franchisees flexibility in reaching customers beyond traditional learning centers or third-party sites. By offering programs at homes and special events, franchisees can tap into additional revenue streams and increase brand visibility within their communities. However, it's crucial for franchisees to ensure that all programs and products offered at these locations are pre-approved by Engineering For Kids to maintain consistency and quality across all service offerings.
This approach aligns with common practices in the children's education and enrichment franchise sector, where offering services at various locations, including homes and event venues, is a strategy to enhance accessibility and convenience for customers. Franchisees should carefully review the specific requirements and guidelines for conducting "Special Events Services" to ensure compliance and maximize the potential benefits of this offering.
