What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Engineering For Kids FDD, once Engineering For Kids approves a site and the franchisee secures it, the address will be inserted into Appendix A of the Franchise Agreement. This location will then be designated as the Approved Location for the franchisee's Engineering For Kids Center.

Engineering For Kids provides site selection guidelines and counseling, but franchisees are ultimately responsible for finding a suitable location within their territory. Franchisees must notify Engineering For Kids of the proposed site and submit a site review report with photographs and demographic information. Engineering For Kids has 30 days to approve or disapprove the site. They may conduct an on-site evaluation, costing the franchisee at least $500 to cover travel, lodging, and wages.

It is important to note that any site recommendations or approvals from Engineering For Kids are not a guarantee of the site's suitability or success. The franchisee is responsible for independently investigating the site and bearing all costs associated with determining its suitability, including any issues that arise after construction begins. This highlights the importance of thorough due diligence on the part of the franchisee when selecting a location.
