The "ENGEL & VÖLKERS System" includes the following elements:
- Intellectual property rights, including the trademarks ENGEL & VÖLKERS®, E&V®, GG®, GG GLOBAL GUIDE® and related marks, designs and know-how, unregistered rights to designs, and licenses, marketing and selling rights (hereinafter called "Trademarks");

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Engel & Volkers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the trademarks associated with the Engel & Volkers system include ENGEL & VÖLKERS®, E&V®, GG®, and GG GLOBAL GUIDE®. The Engel & Volkers system also encompasses related marks, designs, know-how, unregistered design rights, and marketing and selling rights. Engel & Volkers grants franchisees the right to use these trademarks to operate a residential real estate brokerage.
Engel & Volkers franchisees must adhere to specific guidelines when using the trademarks. Franchisees can use the trademarks in their correspondence, business documents, letterheads, listing presentations, and business cards, as well as in advertisements. However, all uses are subject to the standards stipulated by Engel & Volkers and detailed in the System Documentation. Franchisees are prohibited from using or registering any marks or names that are confusingly similar to the Engel & Volkers trademarks. They also cannot use or register any mark or name that incorporates any part of the Engel & Volkers trademark.
Engel & Volkers also restricts the use of its trademarks in the metaverse, reserving all rights to the System and Trademarks in that digital realm. Franchisees must ensure that their staff and sales advisors understand that their use of the trademarks is contingent upon the franchisee's license and is subject to the terms of the franchise agreement. This ensures that only authorized representatives use the Engel & Volkers brand in accordance with the company's standards.
Engel & Volkers retains the right to modify or discontinue any of its trademarks. If this occurs, franchisees must promptly comply with any directions or instructions to modify or discontinue the use of any trademark and/or adopt and use one or more additional substitute trademarks. Engel & Volkers is not obligated to reimburse franchisees for any expenditures incurred to comply with such instructions, nor is it liable for any expenses, losses, or damages sustained as a result of any trademark addition, modification, substitution, or discontinuation.
