What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Engel & Volkers's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for covering the travel expenses for themselves and their brokerage manager to attend training. However, if Engel & Volkers agrees to provide in-person Engel & Völkers Engage training at the franchisee's request, the fee of $4,998 includes the trainer's compensation, travel, accommodation, incidental expenses, training course materials, and their shipment.

The training can be conducted virtually via a web-based platform or at a location in the United States, as designated by Engel & Volkers. The actual travel costs for the franchisee and their brokerage manager will vary depending on whether the training is conducted virtually or on-site, the distance to be traveled, the method of travel, and personal circumstances.

This means that franchisees need to budget for travel and accommodation expenses for themselves and their brokerage manager when planning for training. However, if the franchisee requests in-person Engel & Völkers Engage training, the $4,998 fee covers the trainer's travel and related expenses, potentially simplifying the budgeting process for that specific training format. Franchisees should confirm the location and format of training with Engel & Volkers to accurately estimate travel costs.
