Who is required to complete the Engel & Volkers Engage training?

It is mandatory to attend the LPT training for an individual Franchisee, the Principals, or the broker manager (if the individual Franchisee or Principals will not be active in the Residential Real Estate Brokerage), for Sales Advisors and staff members supporting your Sales Advisors to attend Engel & Völkers Engage, and for at least one staff member working at the franchised Business who supports Sales Advisors to attend SPT training. However, there is no specific test or other requirement that the training be completed to our satisfaction.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Engel & Volkers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Engel & Volkers Engage training is mandatory for Sales Advisors and staff members supporting Sales Advisors. This training is conducted virtually over one week, but on-site training may be requested depending on the number of participants.
Engel & Volkers may also offer additional training sessions that could be mandatory for franchisees, their sales advisors, or employees. The company reserves the right to charge a fee for these sessions. The training requirements are subject to change as the Engel & Volkers system evolves.
Prospective franchisees should note that they will be responsible for the costs associated with attending training courses, including travel, accommodation, and salaries for their employees and sales advisors. If training is requested to be conducted at the franchisee's location, the franchisee will also be responsible for the trainer's expenses and the costs of the training location, food, and beverages.
