- During the term of your Franchise Agreement we may introduce voluntary programs and designations available to all franchisees, or to franchisees who meet certain criteria, including proven experience with certain types of real estate brokerage relevant to the program or designation. To participate you must apply and we must approve your application. At this time, the programs we have developed apply only to existing franchisees and you would not qualify until you have been a franchisee for some time. We have two programs or designations that we charge a fee for at this time:

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Engel & Volkers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, new franchisees are not immediately eligible for all voluntary programs and designations. While Engel & Volkers may introduce voluntary programs and designations during the franchise term, these are available either to all franchisees or those meeting specific criteria, such as proven experience in relevant real estate brokerage.
To participate in these programs, a franchisee must apply and receive approval from Engel & Volkers. The FDD specifies that the programs currently developed are designed for existing franchisees, meaning new franchisees would not qualify until they have been operating for some time.
Currently, Engel & Volkers has two programs or designations that have a fee: the Development Services Designation and the Commercial Designation. The annual fee for the Development Services Designation ranges from $2,500 to $6,000, depending on the number of participating designees, while the Commercial Designation has an annual fee of $5,000 to $6,000. These programs are optional and available to qualified franchisees.
