  • (6) Provide access to the System Documentation, which contains our recommended methods, specifications, procedures and products for operation of your franchised business under the Engel & Völkers System. What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Engel & Volkers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Engel & Volkers reserves the right to make changes to the System Documentation from time to time. The System Documentation contains Engel & Volkers' recommended methods, specifications, procedures, and products for operating a franchised business under the Engel & Volkers System. The System Documentation includes the General Engel & Völkers Information Policy and Procedures Manual, The Shop Fitting Manual, and the Corporate Identity Manual. The System Documentation is provided electronically but if printed, it is approximately 376 pages.

As an Engel & Volkers franchisee, you are obligated to treat the System Documentation as confidential, adhering to the stipulations outlined in the Franchise Agreement. This confidentiality ensures that the proprietary information and operational methods of Engel & Volkers remain protected, preventing unauthorized disclosure to competitors or other parties.

Engel & Volkers may also periodically modify its standards for computer systems, communicating these changes through updates to the System Documentation. These updates may require franchisees to upgrade or update their systems, and there are no contractual limitations on the frequency or cost of this obligation. Franchisees must also adhere to the Engel & Volkers' online policy and the franchisor has the right to review all online content on social media sites, blogs, in electronic communications and on other online sites on which their Trademarks are used to protect the reputation and high quality associated with their Trademarks. Engel & Volkers may require franchisees to remove any questionable usage or content involving their Trademarks or cease using their Trademarks at all on such sites.
