What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Engel & Volkers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Leadership Path Training (LPT) program does not include any on-the-job training hours. The training consists of 27 hours of classroom training covering various subjects, such as onboarding, brand tools, operating considerations, business planning, market research, leadership, recruiting, marketing tools, brand standards, and Engel & Volkers designations.

The LPT program is designed to assist franchisees in operating their Engel & Volkers business in compliance with the brand's system and standards. The training is conducted virtually via web-based platforms or at a location in the U.S. determined by Engel & Volkers. While attendance at LPT is mandatory for franchisees, principals, or brokerage managers, the FDD specifies that the training is not intended to control the day-to-day operations of the franchised business, with personnel-related decisions being the responsibility of the franchisee.

Prospective franchisees should note that while the initial LPT is included in the franchise fee for one person, additional attendees will incur training fees. Franchisees are also responsible for covering transportation, lodging, meals, and other expenses for themselves and their attendees. Engel & Volkers also reserves the right to offer additional, ongoing, and supplemental training sessions, which may be mandatory and subject to additional fees.
