What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Engel & Volkers's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee is a minimum of $35,000. However, this fee can increase based on factors such as the size of the protected area granted to the franchisee, the number of locations they intend to operate, the market potential within that area, the population base, the characteristics of residential properties, and the total market turnover.
Engel & Volkers also charges additional fees under certain circumstances. If Engel & Volkers grants a franchisee the right to open and operate an additional physical location within their protected area, an additional initial franchise fee of $5,000 will apply. Furthermore, if Engel & Volkers permits the franchisee to open a Limited Purpose Location, a one-time fee of $2,500 will be charged.
The initial franchise fee and any Limited Purpose Location fees are non-refundable. These fees must be paid via cashier's check, certified bank check, or any other method that Engel & Volkers requires, as specified in the Franchise Agreement. This means a prospective Engel & Volkers franchisee needs to be prepared for a potentially higher initial fee than the minimum, depending on their specific circumstances and expansion plans.
