What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Engel & Volkers's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the high estimate for training costs includes SPT Training for two staff members and in-person Engel & Volkers Engage Training for up to 50 attendees. Engel & Volkers does not typically offer the Engel & Volkers Engage Training in person; however, if they agree to provide it at the franchisee's request, the cost is $4,998.
The in-person Engel & Volkers Engage training is a one-day training event held at a U.S. location designated by Engel & Volkers. The $4,998 fee covers the trainer's compensation, travel, accommodation, incidental expenses, training course materials, and the shipment of those materials. A minimum of 15 and a maximum of 50 attendees can participate in this training.
Prospective Engel & Volkers franchisees should note that the standard training is virtual, and the in-person training is an exception that incurs a significant cost. Franchisees should consider whether the in-person training is necessary for their staff and factor this potential expense into their initial investment calculations. Understanding the specific content covered in each type of training (SPT vs. Engel & Volkers Engage) will also help in making an informed decision.
