What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Engel & Volkers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee does not personally participate in the business, they must employ at least one person in an administrative role who has attended the Engel & Völkers Support Path Training (SPT) prior to the Opening Date. Furthermore, the franchisee must ensure that at all times, at least one person working at the franchised business has attended SPT.
This requirement ensures that even if the franchisee is not directly involved in the day-to-day operations, there is a trained individual on staff who understands the Engel & Volkers system and can support the sales advisors. This is crucial for maintaining the brand's standards and ensuring smooth operations.
The franchisee is responsible for covering all costs associated with this training, including travel, accommodation, food, and the employee's salary or compensation during the training period. This represents a potentially significant ongoing investment for the franchisee, as staff turnover would necessitate repeated training expenses to maintain compliance with the SPT requirement.
