You must purchase furniture, equipment, signage reflecting the Engel & Völkers corporate identity.

We will provide you with a list of specifications we require in the Engel & Völkers System Documentation, which we provide to you with after you have signed the Franchise Agreement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Engel & Volkers Franchise Disclosure Document, the purchase of furniture, equipment, and signage that reflect the Engel & Volkers corporate identity is required. Engel & Volkers will provide a list of required specifications in the Engel & Volkers System Documentation. This documentation is provided after the Franchise Agreement is signed.

The FDD states that franchisees may purchase these items from a vendor of their choice, as long as the vendor is approved by Engel & Volkers. Items not mentioned in the specifications, such as copy machines or printers, can be any type the franchisee prefers. The estimated initial investment for furniture, equipment, and signage ranges from $50,000 to $120,000, payable to independent vendors as incurred.

In addition to furniture, equipment, and signage, the Engel & Volkers FDD also mentions that franchisees might incur build-out costs if the interior and/or exterior of their location does not meet the design specifications outlined in the System Documentation. Furthermore, franchisees must use or acquire specific computer equipment that meets the minimum memory and standards described in the System Documentation to participate in the Engel & Volkers System.
