Does Engel & Volkers assist franchisees in hiring staff members?

We may offer continuing education for your staff members, but will not assist you in hiring staff members.
We may enter into exclusive systemwide supply contract agreement with one or more vendors for programs, products, supplies, equipment, materials and services, which you shall purchase, use, and/or sell, except in cases where you have legitimate commercial or financial reasons not to use such vendors. These agreements will enable you to offer additional products and/or services to your clients. The arrangements with the vendors may be set up in such a way that you have to enter into an agreement with the vendor yourself. We have the right to retain any commissions earned due to any such cooperation. (Franchise Agreement, Sections 5.5, 12.1.2).

According to Engel & Volkers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Engel & Volkers does not assist franchisees in hiring staff members. However, Engel & Volkers may offer continuing education for staff members.
Engel & Volkers does provide training courses for franchisees and their staff members. It is the franchisee's responsibility to hire employees or other staff members. Personnel-related decisions are made by the franchisee and are not intended to be covered by the training or other support provided by Engel & Volkers.
While Engel & Volkers offers training programs like Engel & Volkers Engage and Sales Professional Training (SPT) for sales advisors and staff, these programs focus on the Engel & Volkers system, brand standards, and operational procedures rather than direct assistance with recruitment or hiring processes. Franchisees are responsible for all costs associated with training, including transportation, lodging, meals, and salaries of attendees.
