What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Endless Summer Sweets' 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Endless Summer Sweets retains the right to establish customer loyalty programs, including setting the terms and conditions. While franchisees can generally set their own prices, Endless Summer Sweets can periodically suggest pricing policies. More importantly, Endless Summer Sweets can establish customer loyalty programs with specific benefits for customers, as well as maximum prices and minimum discounts for the products and services offered.
As an Endless Summer Sweets franchisee, you are obligated to honor any maximum or minimum prices that Endless Summer Sweets establishes. You must also provide customers with the benefits associated with any customer loyalty program that Endless Summer Sweets implements, provided it is permitted by law. This means that while you have some autonomy in setting prices, Endless Summer Sweets can influence pricing and customer loyalty strategies at the local level.
This level of control allows Endless Summer Sweets to maintain brand consistency and ensure that customer loyalty programs are implemented uniformly across all franchise locations. However, it also means that franchisees must be flexible and adapt to the franchisor's strategies, even if they have their own ideas about pricing or customer loyalty initiatives. Prospective franchisees should consider how this level of franchisor control aligns with their own business philosophies and operational preferences.
