What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Endless Summer Sweets' 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Endless Summer Sweets offers several forms of support to franchisees in the area of hiring and training employees. Endless Summer Sweets will provide suggested staffing levels and guidelines for hiring employees. Additionally, Endless Summer Sweets will provide operational instructions in the Operations Manual that franchisees can use as part of training new employees.
Endless Summer Sweets also provides an initial training program that consists of classroom and on-the-job training. The franchise owner and restaurant manager must attend this training, and the franchisee may also send an employee, so up to three people may attend initial training. This training is held at Endless Summer Sweets' original location in Berkely, California, or at a location designated by them, for approximately two weeks, beginning about twelve weeks before the restaurant is scheduled to open. Franchisees must complete training at least six weeks before opening their Endless Summer Sweets location.
In addition to the above, Endless Summer Sweets will have a representative provide on-site support for up to one week around the time of the opening to assist franchisees in training employees. However, the FDD stipulates that all hiring decisions and conditions of employment are the franchisee's sole responsibility.
