What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Endless Summer Sweets's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Endless Summer Sweets has the authority to stop a franchisee's marketing, advertising, or promotion at any time. This gives Endless Summer Sweets significant control over the franchisee's local marketing efforts.
Before using any marketing materials, franchisees must obtain written approval from Endless Summer Sweets at least 10 days before the intended use. If Endless Summer Sweets does not approve the materials within 14 days, they are considered disapproved. This requirement ensures that all marketing efforts align with the brand's standards and image.
This level of control is not uncommon in franchising, as franchisors often want to maintain brand consistency across all locations. However, it's crucial for franchisees to understand that their marketing initiatives are subject to the franchisor's approval and can be halted if deemed necessary. Franchisees should factor in the time required for approval when planning their marketing activities to avoid delays or disruptions.
