What This Means (2024 FDD)
Based on the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the excerpts provided do not contain specific information regarding whether Endless Summer Sweets may implement a centralized purchasing system. However, the document does state that franchisees must participate in customer loyalty programs and incentive programs designated by the franchisor, and comply with all procedures and specifications of the franchisor related to these programs.
While the excerpts do not explicitly address a centralized purchasing system, they do indicate that franchisees are required to adhere to the franchisor's standards and specifications in several areas, such as payment processing, gift card programs, and maintenance. This suggests that Endless Summer Sweets has the authority to set standards and requirements that franchisees must follow.
To determine whether Endless Summer Sweets may implement a centralized purchasing system, a prospective franchisee should review the franchise agreement and operations manual for any clauses pertaining to purchasing requirements, approved vendors, or the franchisor's right to mandate specific suppliers. It would also be prudent to directly ask the franchisor about their intentions regarding a centralized purchasing system and whether franchisees will be required to participate.
